So I honked my horn
when you probably can’t help how fast
that poor car goes
I’ve driven cars that wouldn’t accelerate over 45
But it had been a bad day
and you were anonymous
when you pulled out in front of me
There by the theater near my favorite restaurant
my angry tooting could have been as much because
you are young and blond and couldn’t wait
and I am old and slowing down

Thank you! Yes, I can see the resemblance between this and my poem!

You are welcome! Not as long as yours but yours reminded me of this.

Thanks for your thoughts. How are your roses?

my roses aren’t budding yet, but they appear to be flourishing…foliage nice and seem to benefit from the trim I gave them last fall. I’m in northern Ohio…where are you?

I’m just West of Atlanta about 30 minutes from Alabama. We had an early Spring that started everything ‘greening’ up and then it turned cold for a few days and confused everything. Two plants are in full bloom but the one I relocated are being slow. Good luck.

everything seems to be in a big rush here, speeded up. It’s the first of May almost, and we could still have a killing frost until May 20 (they say.) My husband had an apple orchard for decades, and a frost was bad news at certain stages of bud development. However, the up and down temps has had a positive influence by prolonging the “bloom life” of tulips and other things.

…and now we have severe storms coming through later tonight. Looks as if they reach all the way past where you are. Hopefully more noise than damage. enjoy the flowers as they arrive…:)

we do get weather from Lake Erie effects, and it has been darkening all afternoon. My cat are all hanging around as they do when a storm is coming…I had to coax one into the house, she was not sure what she wanted to do.
