When as a child
I laughed and wept
Time barely crept
I have one short minute
a mere sixty seconds in it
when I was a boy
I dreamed and talked
Time slowly walked
it is mine I can’t refuse it
left for me how to use it
when I was a man
at my full grown span
Time recklessly ran
I must suffer if I lose it
give account when I abuse it
when I became older
though I daily grew
Time suddenly flew
just a tiny little minute
that holds eternity in it
soon I shall find
when I travel on
Time finally gone

Not to worry; Kat is my daughter! Any time you get our works confused with each other is OK with both of us. She’s much the better poet than I will ever be. I’m proud of her…:)
